This is the process that prepares adults and older children to be received into the Catholic Church. Individuals who are interested in becoming a Catholic are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life through weekly OCIA sessions. These sessions, overseen by our Pastor or another member of the clergy, are periods of instruction, reflection, prayer, discernment, and formation.
OCIA is for those who have never been baptized as well as those who are baptized from another Christian tradition. It is for those who were baptized Catholic as infants but have had no formal formation in their faith. It is also for those who want to renew their understanding of the Catholic faith and traditions.
The OCIA – Order of Christian Initiation for Adults – program is for those people who are seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church through all of the Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
